Terms of Use

Effective January 1, 2026

Scope. These Terms apply only to your use of the PlaneFacts website (the “Site”). They do not govern reports. If you choose to request or order a report, separate terms and conditions and a separate privacy policy apply to that request and to any aircraft information or records you provide, and you will be asked to accept them at that time. Those separate documents control for reports, and these Terms do not.

By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Site. In these Terms, “PlaneFacts,” “we,” and “us” mean PlaneFacts.

1. The Site

The Site provides information about PlaneFacts and lets you contact us and start a report request.

2. Information only

Content on the Site is general information, may contain errors or omissions, and is not an inspection, appraisal, or legal, financial, maintenance or aviation advice. Verify anything important with the original records and a qualified professional before relying on it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror or copy the Site or its content by any automated means, including bots, spiders and browser extensions;
  • use the Site or its content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, test, benchmark or improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, or enter or upload it into any AI tool to generate summaries, derivatives or competing content;
  • copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, republish, display, sell, license or create derivative works from the Site or its content, including its text, reports, layouts, data, designs, features, structure and methodology;
  • use the Site or its content to build, develop, benchmark or market a product or service that competes with PlaneFacts;
  • reverse engineer, probe, or attempt to access the Site’s systems, source code or non-public areas, or interfere with its security or operation;
  • remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other notice; or
  • submit false, misleading or unlawful information.

We reserve all rights to prevent text and data mining of the Site. Technical measures such as robots.txt and access controls may be used to enforce this, and violations may result in blocking, legal action and recovery of our costs and fees.

4. Intellectual property

The Site and everything on it, including the text, reports, data, graphics, logos, layouts, designs, software, features, look and feel, and the compilation of all of it, is owned by PlaneFacts or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, trade dress and other laws. © 2026 PlaneFacts. PLANEFACTS and our logos, taglines and trade dress are our trademarks. You may not use, imitate, register or display them, or any confusingly similar name, logo, domain, handle or image, without our prior written permission. You may not use our name, brand or likeness, or any content from the Site, to suggest affiliation with or endorsement by PlaneFacts.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view the Site for your own non-commercial use. No other license or right is granted, by implication or otherwise. Only a PlaneFacts officer may grant permission in writing, and any other promise is invalid. If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, email info@planefacts.com.

5. Your submissions

Anything you send us through the Site’s contact and information forms (messages, feedback, ideas) may be used by us for any purpose, subject to the Site’s Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to send it.

6. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them.

7. Disclaimer

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or aircraft or transaction losses arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed $100.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

10. Suspension

We may suspend or end your access to the Site at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [state]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [county, state], and claims may be brought only individually, not as a class.

12. Changes

We may update the Site or these Terms by posting a new version with a new date. Continued use means you accept the changes.
